The Master of Science in Technology Management at Columbia University provides new technology professionals and recent graduates with the key strategic and tactical skills necessary to drive enhanced organizational performance through the use of technology and to become leaders in the field.

The program is designed for individuals who are pursuing a career as a technology leader in large organizations or startups across vertical industries. It offers a dynamic curriculum, including current trends and issues in high-level technology management, and is taught by an esteemed faculty of accomplished executives from the C-suites of major organizations worldwide and from Columbia’s Schools and affiliates.

- Technology Strategy: Tech Evolution, Leadership, Tech Strategy, Governance, Organizational Design, Culture, Ethics, Financials, Risk and Compliance
- Digital Transformation: Product Development & Management, Systems Development Lifecycle, Tech Ops, Tech Stack, Enterprise Architecture, IT Capabilities, Change Management, Automation
- User-Centric Design: Entrepreneurship, User-centric design,/UX, Tech Enablement & Adoption, Social & Sustainability Innovation with, Tech Marketing, Success Measurement, and Value Impact
- Emerging Technologies: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Quantum Computing

- An esteemed faculty, including accomplished executives from the C-suites of major organizations worldwide and from Columbia’s Schools and affiliates, who bring practical experience, management skills, and leadership expertise.
- An in-depth Capstone Project in which students critically assess and creatively address a real-world challenge, culminating in an oral defense in front of an executive panel.

Program Structure
The program is offered in both full-time and part-time options. The full-time option takes three semesters to complete (summer semester optional), while the part-time option takes six semesters to complete (summer semesters optional). Courses are scheduled to accommodate working professionals and take place on Columbia’s New York City campus.

F1 Optional Practical Training Opportunities
The M.S. in Technology Management Program (Full Time) is a STEM-designated program, which allows students to remain in the U.S. after completing their academic program with permission to work in their field of study.
