Master of Science in Occupational Therapy
The Occupational Therapy Programs’ mission is to educate and prepare a diverse group of occupational therapists to be leaders in promoting health, well-being, and adaptation through occupation as practitioners, consultants, educators, advocates, and scholars in a variety of socio-cultural, geographic, community, and institutional contexts.
Director
Dawn M Nilsen, EdD, OTR/L, FAOTA, is the Director of the Programs in Occupational Therapy, Professor of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine (Occupational Therapy) at CUMC, Vice Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine, and Assistant Dean of the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Accreditation & Program Outcomes
The entry-level professional program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and has been since 1943.

Beginning with the Class of 2024, masters graduates recite an oath at graduation, serving as a symbolic affirmation of their readiness to uphold the highest standards of integrity, excellence, and ethical responsibility.
