The Master of Science in Audiology and Speech Sciences, Sub-Specialization in Audiology (MSc) program at the University of British Columbia (UBC) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in audiology, preparing them for a career as an audiologist. Admission Information & Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements, which include a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university and a cumulative average of at least B+ (at UBC 76%) in third- and fourth-year courses. Applicants must also provide proof of proficiency in English, meet the prerequisite coursework requirements, and submit a statement of interest and letters of reference.


Admission Requirements

  • Minimum Academic Requirements: A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university, with a cumulative average of at least B+ (at UBC 76%) in third- and fourth-year courses.
  • English Language Test: Applicants from a university outside Canada in which English is not the primary language of instruction must provide results of an English language proficiency examination.
  • Prior Degree Requirements: A four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university.
  • Course Requirements: Prerequisite coursework requirements in specific content areas are outlined in the admission requirements.
  • Document Requirements: If you are a non-native English speaker, and you do not have at least four years of continuous post-secondary education in an English-speaking university, you must provide proof of proficiency in English.
