The 16-month, full-time UBC MBA at Sauder’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School offers a uniquely integrated vision. Overview

During the program, you will take several integrative business courses, as well as specialized courses tailored to your designated career track. Experiential learning is also a key part of the program as students will either complete an internship or entrepreneurial or industry project in the summer.

What makes the program unique?

Our mandatory Global Immersion Experience (GIE) allows each of our full-time MBA candidates to spend 2-weeks abroad, getting the opportunity to consult on business problems for local organizations. They begin preparing for the experience on campus before they depart, designing briefs and doing research. It's an invaluable experience that helps students understand cultural implications of business decisions and adapting to different ways of doing things.

UBC Sauder is the only Canadian member of the prestigious Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), a partnership of 30 top business schools spearheaded by the Yale School of Management. The network gives MBA candidates from partner schools opportunities to gain more international experience during their education, including a dual degree option with Yale School of Management, Global Network Weeks, and Global Network Courses.

At UBC Sauder, our entrance scholarships are based on merit, going to candidates who display an outstanding combination of talent, drive, professional potential and academic achievement. We take a merit-based holistic view of what each talented candidate brings into the program. Applicants are automatically considered for every applicable scholarship upon submission, and are assessed on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) academic achievement, business drive, application essays.

Career Options

The 16-month Full-time MBA is designed to prepare students for employment in the public or private sector in a managerial position. Recent graduates have taken positions at Amazon, Nestle, RBC, Telus, TD, CIBC, BMO, Avigilon, Labatt, Lululemon and numerous other organizations.

Common job titles after the program include Project Manager, Product Manager, Senior Manager in Strategy, Retail Solutions Manager, Management Consultant, Senior Manager in Value Creation Services.
