Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the UBC Sauder School of Business programs, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Academic Achievement
A 4-year Bachelor degree with a minimum average of C+ or higher in the last 2 years of study or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution is required. For a competitive edge, an overall average of B+ or higher is recommended.
English Language Proficiency (ELP)
Applicants must be able to speak, comprehend, and write fluently in English. One of the following is required:
- An undergraduate degree or graduate degree from a recognized university in which English was the official language of instruction.
- An English language proficiency test, either TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic.
Exemption Criteria
Course(s) must be completed at a recognized Canadian or American university or college within 10 years of the program start date. A minimum grade of C+ achieved; a higher grade may be required for courses taken at some universities, colleges, and/or poly-technic institutions. Course curriculum must demonstrate comparable breadth and depth to the UBC DAP course.
Exemption Policies
Exemption requests must be submitted at the time of application. Applicants seeking exemptions are strongly recommended to submit their application and exemption request prior to the application deadline for their selected start date. All decisions regarding course exemptions are final and are not eligible for appeal.
