Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management
The Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management (Global SCLM) option is a specialized joint exchange program between the UBC Sauder School of Business, Copenhagen Business School (CBS), and Chinese University of Hong Kong in Shenzhen (CUHK SZ). This program leverages the strengths of all three institutions in the area of supply chain and logistics management, addressing the increasing demand for graduates trained in this field.
Program Description
The Global SCLM option offers students a unique opportunity to study abroad in Term 1 of Years 3 and 4 at CBS and CUHK SZ, respectively. Students will complete four of their six core option course requirements while studying abroad, with the remaining two option courses completed in Term 2 of Year 3 at the UBC Sauder School of Business. This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global supply chain and logistics management, as well as the cultural and business practices of different regions.
Eligibility and Application
To be eligible for the Global SCLM option, students must have a strong interest in global perspectives and business practices, and demonstrate the maturity and capability to engage in an international academic experience. Space in this program is limited to 15 students. The application deadline for the 2026/27 cohort is November 30, 2025. Students must meet the eligibility requirements of Go Global for exchange and complete COMM_V 204 in Year 2 or, at the latest, during the summer after Year 2 to be eligible for the Global SCLM option.

- COMM_V 342: Global Supply Chain & Logistics Management I (Logistics Clusters)
- COMM_V 343: Global Supply Chain & Logistics Management II (Supply Chain Risk Management)
- COMM_V 4141: Data Visualization and Business Analytics
- COMM_V 3412: Supply-Chain Management
- COMM_V 344: Global Supply Chain & Logistics Management III (Management of Innovation in China)
- COMM_V 345: Global Supply Chain & Logistics Management IV (Current and Regional Issues in Supply Chain and Logistics Management)
Students must complete the courses in the Global SCLM option in sequential order. If a student fails a required option core course on exchange, they may be permitted to substitute an alternate course at the discretion of the Faculty. If a student fails two or more option core courses while on exchange, they will be required to withdraw from the option.
Career Opportunities
The Global SCLM option is designed to prepare students for careers with operational and logistics functions in manufacturing, distribution firms, and government departments at all levels. Great communication and negotiation skills are essential in this field. Students who complete this option will have a comprehensive understanding of global supply chain and logistics management, as well as the cultural and business practices of different regions, making them highly competitive in the job market.
