The University of British Columbia offers a community program through the Faculty of Arts, known as the Humanities 101 Community Programme. This program includes various courses and public programs.
Courses

Writing201 Course Details
Writing201 students participate in the same class as Writing101 students but have the opportunity to explore forms, style, and genres in greater detail, producing a more polished body of work. The course includes:
- The first 30 minutes of class for students to read aloud their work and receive feedback from peers and staff.
- Regular writing exercises based on the lesson of the evening.
- Writing assignments given after the Tuesday lecture, with feedback provided the following class. By the end of the course, students will have learned the vocabulary and practices of writing for personal, creative, academic, and professional purposes, helping to organize, revise, and style writing with new levels of expertise.

The Humanities 101 Community Programme is located on the UBC West Point Grey campus, with classes taking place in Room 270, Buchanan E, 1866 Main Mall, Vancouver, BC, Canada V6T 1Z1. Tuesday lectures for Writing201 occur from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
