Women+ and Children’s Health Sciences Graduate Program (WACH)
The Women+ and Children’s Health Sciences Graduate Program (WACH) is a collaborative effort between the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Pediatrics. The term Women+ encompasses women, transgender, and non-binary individuals.
Program Overview
The WACH program utilizes an umbrella style framework to facilitate the development of translational investigators. It provides a foundational curriculum for all graduate students, followed by more focused work in one stream, such as:
- Women+ Health
- Children’s Health
- Reproductive and Developmental Sciences (RDS)
Program Structure
The program is designed to capacitate a cross-pillar program, allowing for a comprehensive approach to graduate student training in Women+ and Children’s Health Sciences.
Launch and Development
The WACH program was launched in 2022, following collaboration between the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Pediatrics on its development.
Curriculum
The program offers a foundational curriculum for all graduate students, followed by more focused work in one of the specified streams.
