Romance Studies

Romance Studies is an interdisciplinary, transnational, and cross-cultural program that allows students to gain an appreciation of Romance languages, literatures, and cultures.


Program Overview

A specialization in Romance Studies enables students to study more than one of the Romance languages, as well as consider both historical and contemporary approaches to studying the regions of Europe, North and South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and their many contacts.

Program Details

The program provides students with a unique perspective on the Romance languages, cultures, and literatures, and allows them to diversify their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Students can study more than one Romance language and explore the historical and contemporary contexts of the regions where these languages are spoken.
