Climate Action Planning: Foundations, Finance, and Implementation

This micro-certificate program is designed for policymakers, planners, and industry players to gain knowledge, skills, and tools for climate action planning. Developed by UBC’s Institute for Resources, Environment, and Sustainability, Sustainability Hub, and Campus and Community Planning, the program aims to create climate champions.


Course Details

  • Course Outline: The program guides participants through the foundational steps of climate action planning, including assessing organizational climate impact, engaging stakeholders, and identifying necessary data and funding.

    2. Why do I need one? Science and policy
    3. Why do I need one? Justice
    4. Planning for the plan
    5. Identifying main emissions sources and impact areas
