COMM_V 365 - Market Research
This course provides students with a managerial overview of marketing research process and a good understanding and practice of the analytic techniques.
Learning Objectives
The objectives of this course are:
- to introduce basic marketing research terminology
- to train students to translate a management problem into a feasible research question
- to provide a working knowledge of basic research concepts and methods
- to introduce real-world marketing research examples in several industries
- to introduce new Internet tools useful in marketing research
- to reveal opportunities in collecting secondary marketing data on the Internet
- to introduce quantitative methods used in marketing data analysis
- to expose students to statistical software commonly used in marketing research
- to practice statistical analysis skills
Prerequisite
All of COMM 190 (formerly numbered as COMM 290), COMM 191 (formerly numbered as COMM 291), COMM 296; and one of COMM 295, ECON 201, ECON 301.
Corequisite
One of COMM 205.
