Program Overview

Certificate in Textile Studies

The Certificate in Textile Studies is designed for teachers of textile studies who want to strengthen their knowledge in the area, or for teachers who want to develop expertise for the teaching of textile studies. This program is a collaboration with Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Program Structure

• The certificate program consists of five courses: three from UBC, and two from Kwantlen.
• Summer institutes may be available at UBC and Kwantlen.
• These courses can be taken as part of the certificate program, or individually with no plan to achieve a certificate.
• Pre-requisites: You should have completed at least one introductory course in apparel construction.

Once you have completed the five courses, please request your certificate. Certificates may be issued once we have received your original sealed transcripts from Kwantlen University College.
