Wanxiang Ambassador Fellows Program
Program Overview
The Wanxiang Corporation and UChicago Career Advancement partner to offer a summer program that sends UChicago students to China for a pre-professional educational experience. The program focuses on exposing students to Chinese culture and language, supplemented with sessions on green technology and the Wanxiang Corporation's clean technology initiatives in China.
Program Details
- Eligibility: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Years
- Program Dates: Mid-June to Late-July
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Program Structure:
- 3 weeks of classroom-based Chinese language and culture study
- Seminars on the basics of clean energy
- Field trips around China to advance understanding of Chinese culture
- Shadowing program at the Wanxiang Electric Vehicle Co, Ltd.
- Green energy trek to expand understanding of the energy industry within China
Program Location
Participating students will travel as a group to Hangzhou, China, and be housed at Wanxiang Polytechnic University.
