Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth India Summer Fellows Program

Program Overview

The Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth India Summer Fellows Program is an intensive experiential program based at Ahmedabad University. The program is a joint collaboration between the University of Chicago Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth and Career Advancement.

Program Details

• Application Deadline: November 30, 2025
• Eligibility: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Years
• Program Duration: 3 weeks in Delhi and 2 weeks in Ahmedabad, India
• Program Components:
  • Seminars and lectures from experts in energy, climate, and sustainable growth
  • Classroom curriculum and field-based study in climate and culture
  • Career trek in Delhi with government, think tanks, and companies focused on climate and energy solutions
• Opportunities:
  • Professional development and career training through research projects, seminars, workshops, and a career trek
  • Cultural exchange and exploration of India's diverse cultural heritage sites

Program Benefits

The program provides participants with first-hand exposure to the unique challenges and opportunities India faces while balancing climate change, energy demands, and economic growth. Fellows will receive field-based training and curriculum delivered at the UChicago Delhi Center and Ahmedabad University's Climate Institute, with the support of UChicago faculty and staff.
