Program Overview
The Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth India Summer Fellows Program is an intensive experiential program based at Ahmedabad University. The program is a joint collaboration between the University of Chicago Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth and Career Advancement.
Program Details
- Application Deadline: November 30, 2025
- Eligibility: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Years
- Program Duration: 3 weeks in Delhi and 2 weeks in Ahmedabad, India
- Program Components:
- Seminars and lectures from experts in energy, climate, and sustainable growth
- Classroom curriculum and field-based study in climate and culture
- Career trek in Delhi with government, think tanks, and companies focused on climate and energy solutions
- Opportunities:
- Professional development and career training through research projects, seminars, workshops, and a career trek
- Cultural exchange and exploration of India's diverse cultural heritage sites
Program Benefits
The program provides participants with first-hand exposure to the unique challenges and opportunities India faces while balancing climate change, energy demands, and economic growth. Fellows will receive field-based training and curriculum delivered at the UChicago Delhi Center and Ahmedabad University's Climate Institute, with the support of UChicago faculty and staff.
