Program Overview
Bachelor's International Land and Water Management
The Bachelor's programme in International Land and Water Management addresses problems of drought, erosion, and floods, which put food production at risk in large parts of the world. Students combine knowledge of engineering, social, and natural sciences, studying the roles of various stakeholders and designing land and water management improvement plans. The area of research covers the whole world.
Why this programme?
- Technical and social: students learn about the engineering, socio-economic, physical, and policy aspects of land and water management, making our graduates well-rounded and versatile professionals.
- International: the programme looks at regions all over the world that struggle with land and water management problems, such as floods, water shortage, erosion, or land degradation, from Thailand to Ethiopia and from Peru to the Netherlands.
- Third-year bachelor’s students do an international internship and research project of their choice.

Admission and application
The programme is open to pre-university (VWO) school-leavers who have taken physics and mathematics A or B.
