Program Overview

The Docentenopleiding Bewegingswetenschappen is a teacher training program in Human Movement Sciences. This program is designed for students who are pursuing a master's degree in Human Movement Sciences and wish to become teachers in higher education.


Program Description

The program consists of 30 ECTS, with 9 ECTS that can be integrated into the elective space of the master's program. This results in an extension of the total master's program by 21 ECTS. The program is also suitable for students in the second year of the Research Master (RM), Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Sciences (MPS), and master's students from Groningen.


Competences and Certification

During the program, students acquire the necessary competencies to work as beginning teachers. Upon successful completion, students receive a diploma and a BDB certificate (Basis Didactische Bekwaamheid), which enables them to teach at universities of applied sciences.
