Program Overview


Bachelor in Communication Science

The Bachelor in Communication Science is a three-year program that focuses on the study of communication processes in various contexts, including public, organizational, and private spheres. The program is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of communication theories, methods, and practices, as well as the skills to analyze and solve communication problems.


Program Description

The program consists of 180 EC and is taught in both Dutch and English. The first year of the program introduces students to the basics of communication science, including the history and theory of communication, research methods, and statistical analysis. In the second year, students delve deeper into the field, exploring topics such as marketing and persuasive communication, media entertainment, and social research methodology. The third year of the program focuses on specialization, with students choosing from a range of electives and working on a bachelor's thesis.


Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, students must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the language requirements (Dutch or English). International students must also meet the admission requirements for the program, which include a minimum GPA of 3.0 and proficiency in English (TOEFL or IELTS).
