Program Overview
The Korte opleiding Alfabetisering & Z-route is a program designed to provide an effective, differentiated approach for alpha students. This approach aligns with the global principles of the Z-route of the new Inburgering law, as well as other Alpha-NT2 trajectories. The program aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a tailored learning experience for each student.

Program Structure
The program consists of a series of meetings, where presentations are alternated with collaborative learning activities. Prior to each meeting, participants receive a reading assignment, and after each meeting, they complete a practical assignment with a study load of approximately four hours. The trainer reviews the assignments and provides feedback, which is discussed in the next meeting.
Program Objectives
The program aims to enable participants to design their teaching practice in a way that allows each student to reach their full potential. The program provides learning pathways, didactic tools, and a lesson approach based on recent theories of alphabetization and second language acquisition by adults.
Program Trainers
The program is led by experienced trainers, including Annemarie Nuwenhoud and Chrissy Hosea, who have extensive expertise in the field of Alpha-NT2 education. Annemarie Nuwenhoud is a teacher trainer in Alphabetization NT2 at VU-NT2 and the author of the teacher publication Basisboek Alfa NT2. Chrissy Hosea is an NT2 teacher, coordinator of the EVC procedure, assessor, and developer of teaching materials at VU-NT2.
