Archaeology (pre-master's programme)

Overview

The Archaeology pre-master's programme is designed for students who do not meet the entry requirements for the Master's degree in Archaeology. This programme offers a bridging course to help students bring their knowledge and skills to the required level.


Programme Details

  • The standard programme consists of 5 courses of 6 ec (i.e., 30 ec in total).
  • HBO-students will have to take an additional course on Academic Skills of 12 ec.
  • The admissions committee will assess the student's prior education and may determine an alternative programme, tailored to the specific knowledge and skills acquired in their prior education.
  • The programme is a joint programme offered by VU Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
