Overview
The Dual Master's in Curating Art and Cultures is a unique, two-year program offered jointly by VU Amsterdam, the University of Amsterdam (UvA), and various leading museums and cultural institutions across the Netherlands. This interdisciplinary Master's program prepares students to become professional curators by strengthening their theoretical foundations and equipping them with necessary research skills and practical experiences.

Curriculum
The program comprises a blend of core and elective courses:
- Core Courses: Focus on curating and collecting.
- Elective Courses: Tailored to students' fields of interest, such as:

The latter half of the program includes a year-long internship at one of the partnering museums or cultural institutions, allowing students to work closely with experienced curators and contribute to various projects within the museum setting.
Internship
Students are provided with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through a curator-in-training position during their internship. This is a critical component of the program, designed to foster professional growth and practical understanding of curatorial practices.
