Program Overview

The program "Regisseren zonder macht in het sociaal domein" is designed to provide participants with insights into the latest scientific theories on governance and leadership in public-public and public-private partnerships. The program consists of four interactive sessions and a final meeting, where participants work on their own project, applying the acquired knowledge to a practical problem from their own organization.

Program Structure

  • The program is divided into four sessions, each focusing on a specific aspect of governance and leadership:
    • Session 1: Governance and leadership
    • Session 2: Leading without power
    • Session 3: Organizing participation
    • Session 4: Integration of multidisciplinary knowledge
  • A final meeting is held, where participants present their projects and receive feedback from the instructors.

Program Leadership and Instructors

  • The program is led by Dr. Duco Bannink, a professor of public administration at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
  • Other instructors include Dr. mr. Hans Bosselaar and Mr. dr. Tim Robbe, who are experts in the field of public administration and governance.

Program Details

  • The program has no exam, but participants have the option to write a paper (500-1500 words) that will be evaluated by the instructors.
  • Participants who do not write a paper are still required to give a presentation during the final meeting.
  • A certificate of participation is awarded to those who attend at least three sessions and give a presentation.

Target Audience

  • The program is designed for professionals working in the social domain, including those in public administration, healthcare, and education.
  • Alumni of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam may be eligible for a discount on the program fee.

Program Goals

  • The program aims to provide participants with a deeper understanding of governance and leadership in the social domain.
  • Participants will learn how to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems and develop their skills in leading without power.
  • The program also aims to foster a community of professionals who can share knowledge and experiences in the field of public administration and governance.
