Program Overview

The Master's program in Counseling and Intervention in Grief, Loss, and Trauma is designed to provide professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to support individuals and families experiencing grief, loss, and trauma. Program Objectives

  • The relational dimension in grief: activation of bonds and elaboration of memories
  • The circumstances of death and the traumatic dimension of grief
  • The avoidance-negation dimension in the grief process
  • Intervention in specific situations (e.g., death of a child, death of a partner)
  • Working with children and adolescents in grief
  • Grief and stabilization phase
  • Diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Family and environmental impact
  • Group intervention in grief
  • Final project
