Program Overview

The Master in Management and Innovation of a Dental Clinic is a comprehensive program designed to equip dental professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully manage and innovate their clinics. The program is offered by the Institute of Continuing Education of the University of Barcelona (IL3-UB) and is supported by the prestige and experience of the institution.

Presentation

The program is designed to provide dental professionals with the necessary skills to manage and innovate their clinics, combining excellent professional practice with rigorous management and long-term vision. The program covers various aspects, including strategic planning, definition of strategic lines of action, organizational management, marketing, and quality management.


Objectives

  • Analyze and promote new management and organization models to improve the overall results of the clinic in a sustainable way.
  • Define objectives to be achieved for their own units or work teams.
  • Review the organizational model and responsibilities, among others, to achieve the set objectives.
  • Contrast the management system, resources (budget, human, technological, etc.) and phases of operation, among others, to launch a new service or equipment.
  • Adapt products and services to special needs of certain groups (children and the elderly, people with limited mobility, etc.).
  • Develop methodologies and procedures to improve the service and attention to patients: service cards, commitments, care protocols...
  • Incorporate the use of social networks both for the communication of services and for the attention and loyalty of users.
  • Seek and apply the means necessary to satisfy the needs of their patients.
  • Analyze the need to make decisions about the digitization of the clinic, specifically about the introduction of instruments and software related to health care.
  • Calculate the necessary investments taking into account sustainability and the impact on service costs.
  • Know how to identify the competencies that the members of a team that must address a specific service or project must have.
  • Delegate functions and responsibilities broadly to their collaborators.
  • Define final objectives and not so much the process.
