Objectives
The primary objective of the Master in Respiratory Nursing is to expand and deepen the knowledge of nursing care in the area of patients with cardiac pathology, aiming to facilitate and enable research, planning, training, organization, and prevention within this framework.

- Anatomy and Physiology: Basic knowledge of pulmonary anatomy and physiology, interpretation of pulmonary function tests, and management of a pulmonary function laboratory.
- Respiratory Nursing: Influence of the diaphragm on various bodily systems, treatment of the diaphragm, and respiratory rehabilitation in musculoskeletal pathology.
- Smoking Prevention and Treatment: Introduction to smoking, craving and withdrawal syndrome, diagnosis, treatment of smoking, and management of a smoking cessation unit.
- Obstructive Respiratory Diseases: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
- Infectious Pulmonary Diseases: Cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, pneumonia, and COVID-19.
- Other Respiratory Diseases: Interstitial lung diseases, neuromuscular diseases, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep disorders.
- Research and Quality: Introduction to scientific research, literature search, critical reading, systematic review, and dissemination of knowledge.
