Program Overview

The Curs de Prevenció de riscos Laborals – Nivell Bàsic (Course on Prevention of Occupational Risks - Basic Level) is a program offered by the Institut Català de Seguretat i Salut Laboral (Catalan Institute of Occupational Safety and Health). The course aims to provide individuals with knowledge on occupational safety and health.

Program Details

• The course will be offered in a distance learning modality, with a duration of 30 hours.
• The program is divided into five editions, which will take place throughout the year 2021.
• The course is designed for individuals interested in occupational safety and health.
• The duration of the course is five weeks.
• A face-to-face evaluation test will be conducted at the end of the course at the different headquarters of the Institut Català de Seguretat i Salut Laboral (Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona).

Objectives

The course objectives are aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:

ODS 3: Good Health and Well-being

• Reduce premature mortality from non-communicable diseases by one-third through prevention and treatment, and promote mental health and well-being.

ODS 4: Quality Education

• Substantially increase the number of young people and adults with the necessary skills, particularly technical and professional skills, for access to employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.

ODS 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

• Protect labor rights and promote a safe and protected work environment for all workers, including migrants, especially women migrants and those in precarious occupations.
