Program Overview

Program Overview

The Master in Global BIM Management in Civil Engineering and GIS is a comprehensive program that provides students with the necessary skills to manage, coordinate, and direct infrastructure projects using the BIM methodology.

Program Details

  • Duration: 58 weeks
  • Credits: 60 ECTS
  • Type: Master's degree
  • Language: English
  • Dates: November 7, 2022 - December 15, 2023
  • Modality: Online
  • Price: 14,500 € (including administrative fees)

Objectives

The program aims to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to develop infrastructure projects (highways, railways, and hydraulic works) in a multidisciplinary and collaborative BIM environment, as well as to ensure the integration of geographic information systems (GIS) in the development of these infrastructures.

Three Reasons to Choose This Program

  1. Complete Life Cycle: Planning, Design, Construction, and Maintenance - The program provides students with the necessary skills to design and model infrastructures using the collaborative BIM methodology, applying new workflows, efficient communication systems in the cloud, and integral information management through BIM models throughout the entire life cycle of the asset.
  2. Global Collaboration and Real Cloud Workflows: The program's diverse range of professional profiles and nationalities provides an ideal framework for developing real global collaboration, where cloud workflows become the primary tool for communication and successful results.
  3. International Leadership in Civil Engineering Projects: The program's projects will be approached from different disciplines of civil engineering: road, rail, and hydraulic works, for each phase of the project. The main objective of the program is to equip students with the necessary tools to become international leaders in the application of BIM in civil engineering and to enhance the leadership of high-performance teams in construction projects for infrastructures.

Accreditation

The program is accredited by the Institut de Formació Contínua de la Universitat de Barcelona (IL3-UB) and Zigurat Global Institute of Technology.
