Program Overview
The Oracle 101 Course is a pre-requisite for gaining access to any of the core Oracle Financial applications, excluding Procurement Card and Expense Reports. This course serves as a gateway for new users to the Oracle Financial Applications, allowing them to branch out to various modules required for their business responsibilities. For current users, the course provides an opportunity to refresh their navigation skills and system knowledge.

- Using Oracle forms and menus
- General techniques to enter and query/retrieve data
Course Requirements
The course is a pre-requisite for Oracle Financials Training sessions as well as for system access. Completing this course and passing the certification assessment is required to be considered eligible for access to the Oracle Financial Applications. A minimum of 12 out of 15 questions must be answered correctly to pass the course. Each user can attempt to pass the certification quiz up to three times.
Course Duration
The course takes approximately 120 minutes to complete and does not need to be completed all in one sitting. Users may stop and return to the course at any time.
Additional Information
Once the pre-requisite courses, including this course and the CMU Finance Fundamentals course, are completed, users can enroll in module-specific courses, such as General Ledger and Purchasing, which provide instructions on processing transactions and/or running reports. After completing the necessary Oracle training, users will be eligible to request access to the system.
