Overview

CU Boulder's professional graduate certificate in arts administration provides students with the managerial skills and knowledge to work in the performing arts industry. Students will gain knowledge and insights into the opportunities and challenges facing today's arts administration professionals. This program offers the skills and education needed for a successful career in arts management in music, dance, and theater.


Requirements

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants should have either an undergraduate degree in an arts discipline, or a bachelor's degree in any other discipline with at least 3 years of professional experience working in an arts organization.
  • This certificate program is also open to all students already enrolled in a graduate degree in music, theatre, or dance.

Required Courses and Credits

The graduate certificate in arts administration is comprised of three 3-credit courses:


  • Course List Code: MUSC 5978, Title: Introduction to Arts Administration, Credit Hours: 3
  • Course List Code: MUSC 5938, Title: Management and Leadership in the Arts, Credit Hours: 3
