ROBO 5008 (1) Introduction to Research: This course helps new graduate students become research productive early in their careers, covering topics such as literature organization, technical writing, and scientific ethics.
- Requisites: Restricted to ROBO-MS and ROBO-PHD students only
ROBO 5009 (1) Robotics Seminar: This course covers new and innovative topics in robotics through presentations by leading researchers and faculty. Students practice professional presentation skills and learn proper etiquette for participation in scientific research talks.
- Repeatable: Repeatable for up to 3.00 total credit hours
- Requisites: Restricted to graduate students only
ROBO 5302 (3) Advanced Robotics: This course exposes students to current research topics in robotics and provides hands-on experience in solving a grand challenge program.
- Equivalent: CSCI 4302 and CSCI 5302
- Requisites: Restricted to graduate students only, prerequisite of CSCI 5202 or ROBO 5000 or ((ASEN 5254 and (ASEN 5014 or 5044 or MCEN 5448 or ECEN 5448)))
- Recommended: Prerequisite CSCI 3302 or instructor consent required
ROBO 6900 (1-6) Robotics Independent Study: This course provides credit for independent study for ROBO-MS and ROBO-PHD students.
- Repeatable: Repeatable for up to 6.00 total credit hours, allows multiple enrollment in term
- Requisites: Restricted to ROBO-MS and ROBO-PHD students only
ROBO 6930 (1-3) Robotics Internship: This course allows graduate students to receive academic credit for an internship experience in the field of robotics and adjacent disciplines.

ROBO 6950 (1-6) Master's Thesis: This course involves research conducted on a specialized topic in robotics and overseen by robotics faculty.
