BA: Journalism
The BA in Journalism is designed to equip students with the skills to ask big questions, dig for answers, and find creative, effective ways to tell stories. This major will satisfy and fuel students' curiosity, developing essential journalism skills such as gathering accurate information, conducting interviews, and producing compelling content. The goal is to tell stories that reveal important social truths.
Program Details
- Gain practical, hands-on experience and resume-building opportunities through two student media courses exclusively for journalism students.
- Intern and work with student and professional media outlets, including newspapers, broadcast networks, radio stations, websites, and social media companies.
- Add a specialty to the major by concentrating in a secondary area of study—the equivalent of a minor—in a separate subject area of choice.
