Program Overview
Master's Programme in Law & Finance
The Amsterdam Law School and Amsterdam Business School co-established a special English selective Master's programme in Law & Finance at the University of Amsterdam in September 2018. This programme is taught by experts in law and finance, with almost the full academic teaching body consisting of ACLE researchers.
Programme Details
The Master Law & Finance (MLF) programme awards students with an LLM upon completion. The programme is run by both the Law School and the Business School.
Academic Excellence Track (AcET)
Each year, some students of the MLF are selected to perform research in the Academic Excellence Track (AcET) and work as Research Assistants at ACLE.
MLF Best Thesis Prize
The ACLE sponsors the annual MLF Best Thesis Prize, with a financial value of €1000. The jury for the winner of this prize consists of Advisory Board members of the MLF programme, who are members of great reputation representing potential employers of graduates. Only students who write their thesis in track 1 of the programme are eligible for this prize.

Programme Affiliations
The Master's programme in Law & Finance is affiliated with the Amsterdam Center for Law & Economics (ACLE) and the University of Amsterdam. The programme's Advisory Board consists of ten members, all working in (central) banking, prominent law firms, consultancy firms, insurance companies, or academia.
