Program Overview
The Master's program in Teacher Education for Pre-University Education in the Humanities and Social Sciences (Leraar Voorbereidend Hoger Onderwijs in de Mens- en Maatschappijwetenschappen) is designed to train students to become first-grade teachers in secondary education. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to teach at all levels of secondary education, including pre-university education (havo and vwo), senior secondary vocational education (vmbo), vocational education, and adult education.

The theoretical courses cover educational and pedagogical topics, such as classroom management, test development, and cognitive and socio-emotional development of adolescents. The practical component involves teaching at least 100 hours of self-contained lessons at a secondary school.
