Program Overview

The Postacademic Labor Law Course (PALA) is a comprehensive program in the field of labor law. Upon completion of the PALA, participants become experts in labor law.

Program Structure

The program consists of multiple modules, each covering a specific aspect of labor law. The modules are taught by experienced professionals and academics in the field.

Admission Criteria

To be admitted to the program, participants must have a master's degree in Dutch Law and at least three years of practical experience, of which at least 40% is relevant labor law experience. The program assumes a good understanding of labor law, equivalent to the level of the book "Arbeidsrechtelijke themata".

Study Load

The total study load depends on the participant's prior knowledge, experience, and the number of hours spent on self-study. On average, a participant spends 5 hours per module, which is 20 x 5 = 100 hours of self-study. This does not include the introductory videos and meetings themselves (60 hours).

Examination

At the end of the program, participants take a written exam that lasts 3 hours and is a good reflection of the taught material.

Important Notes

• Without thorough preparation of the individual teaching days, the exam is practically impossible to pass.
• All online components must be completed, and of the 10 physical teaching days, only one half-day (3 hours) may be missed before admission to the exam takes place.
• When answering questions, participants may use all teaching materials and digital sources via iPad or laptop.
• There is no resit opportunity, except in exceptional cases to be assessed by the curatorium.
• All exams are checked for plagiarism using university guidelines.
