Assessment

A detailed description of the assessment criteria and procedure can be found in the Student Manual on Canvas. To pass, students must meet all criteria. Students will submit individual partial products and two final products: a research report and an oral presentation of their research. Supervisors will assess both final products. The report will be assessed by two evaluators on scientific foundation and language and style use. The presentation will be assessed with an AVV or a NAV. The supervisor will also assess the student's professional behavior during the bachelor's thesis. If a student does not meet the required standards, they will be removed from the project before its completion. The thesis must be completed within the set time, as agreed upon with the supervisor in advance.

Additional Requirements

During the bachelor's program, students must earn 5 colloquium points. Earning these points is linked to completing the BSc thesis in semester 1 of the third study year. Students can start collecting colloquium points in year 1. Once they have met the colloquium point requirement, it will be recorded as a partial grade for the bachelor's thesis in year 3 of the bachelor's program. To successfully complete the bachelor's thesis, it is necessary to meet the colloquium point requirement.

Notes

Before the start of the project, students will receive a list of available topics. They will then indicate their preferences online, and assignments will be made based on weighting. It is not guaranteed that students will be assigned to their first choice.
