Learning Objectives

After completing this master's track, students can:


  1. Evaluate psychological theories, models, approaches, and research findings in the field of occupational health psychology and coaching.
  2. Evaluate complex occupational health psychological issues in practice using relevant theories and models.
  3. Develop scientifically informed solutions and interventions for complex occupational health psychological issues in practice.
  4. Evaluate relevant professional skills (e.g., coaching, counseling) to solve problems in the area of occupational health psychology and coaching.
  5. Derive hypotheses (predictions) or research questions (problems) based on scientific literature or theory.
  6. Develop the appropriate research design (including procedures and materials) corresponding to research questions and hypotheses.
  7. Develop a data processing strategy and process appropriate data corresponding to their research questions and hypotheses.
  8. Use the appropriate analysis techniques corresponding to their research questions and hypotheses and correctly interpret the output in light of their research questions and hypotheses.
  9. Write a report (paper) of scientific results adapted to the audience.
  10. Present and discuss scientific results adapted to the audience.
  11. Effectively act according to the different steps of the self-regulation process (goal setting, planning, performing, and evaluating/reflecting) for the benefit of the task performance.
  12. Effectively act according to the various steps of the self-regulation process (goal setting, planning, performing, and evaluating/reflecting) toward the desired field of work or profession.
  13. Effectively act the different steps of the (self-)regulation process (goal setting, planning, performing, and evaluating/reflecting) together with peers for the purpose of a joint activity or outcome.
  14. Effectively act in accordance with the guidelines for scientific integrity, ethical research, and rules of professional conduct required of psychologists (Professional Code of Ethics for Psychologists).

Program Goals

The program aims to educate students as critical and analytic professionals who are able to function on an evidence-based manner and are able to improve practice in occupational health psychology based on scientific knowledge.


BAPD Certificate

The WOP Master's program Coaching & Vitality in Organisations offers the possibility of obtaining the NIP-registered BAPD certificate (Basisaantekening Psychodiagnostiek) for students with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with WOP specialization. To obtain the BAPD certificate, students must take the course Human Resource Management and Psychological Assessment as an elective and complete a BAPD report on three cases during the Master's internship.
