Learning Objectives

After completing this master's track, students can:


  1. Evaluate psychological theories, models, and research findings in the field of personnel psychology and career management.
  2. Evaluate complex career-related and personnel psychological issues in practice using psychological theories and models.
  3. Develop scientifically informed solutions and interventions for complex career-related and personnel psychological issues in practice.
  4. Evaluate relevant professional skills to solve problems in the area of personnel psychology and career management.
  5. Derive hypotheses or research questions based on scientific literature or theory.
  6. Develop the appropriate research design corresponding to research questions and hypotheses.
  7. Develop a data processing strategy and process appropriate data corresponding to research questions and hypotheses.
  8. Use the appropriate analysis techniques corresponding to research questions and hypotheses and correctly interpret the output.
  9. Write a report of scientific results adapted to the audience.
  10. Present and discuss scientific results adapted to the audience.

Program Aim

The program aims to educate students as critical and analytic professionals who are able to function on an evidence-based manner and improve practice in personnel psychology based on scientific knowledge.


BAPD Certificate

The program offers the possibility of obtaining the NIP-registered BAPD certificate for students with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with WOP specialization. To obtain the certificate, students must pay attention to WOP psychological diagnostics during the Master's internship and write a BAPD report on three cases. If all requirements are met, students will receive the endorsement Basic Psychodiagnostics at the award of the Master's degree. Note that knowledge of Dutch is usually required for most BAPD internships and positions in organizations.
