GIS Course: Introduction

The GIS introductory course provides fundamental Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills using industry-standard software, ESRI ArcGIS Pro and QGIS. The course covers:

• Spatial data types
• Geoprocessing
• Mapping
• Projection coordinate systems
• File types (e.g., .shp, .gdb, raster files)
• Creating maps using principles of cartography
