The AI fluency sprint for the legal sector is a self-paced online course designed for people in the legal profession. It aims to provide a real-world, jargon-free understanding of AI beyond the hype, with relevant examples and practical insights to help participants use AI more strategically and get more value out of it.

• Participants will learn from leading thinkers and legal experts at the University of Sydney and Deloitte.
• The program includes five self-paced modules and three online live sessions, designed to fit in any busy schedule.

Program Structure

• The program comprises five self-paced modules:
  • Understanding artificial intelligence: Learn about the history of AI, what it can do, and the challenges to look out for.
  • Thinking strategically about AI: Learn the key steps in developing your organisation’s AI strategy.
  • Deploying, governing and scaling AI: Understand the capabilities, data and guardrails required for implementing AI in the legal sector.
  • Building an AI-fuelled organisation: Learn how to integrate AI into your organisation’s culture and work design.
• Three online live sessions:
  • Introduction and welcome
  • Check-in and networking event
  • Workshop and final project discussion

Program Recognition

• Participants will receive a University of Sydney digital badge, their personal AI fluency credential, after completing the final project.
• The badge is issued using the Accredible platform and is stored securely and verified on the Bitcoin blockchain.

• The program fee is $1,395 AUD.
• A discounted price of $995 is available for University of Sydney alumni.
• Group pricing is also available for 10+ participants.

Program Format

• The program is delivered online, with self-paced modules and live sessions.
• Participants will have access to the modules after the program is complete, so they can always return to the extension activities later.
• Live sessions will be recorded and made available in the platform, so participants can watch them whenever they want.

Final Project

• The final project focuses on the participant's own experience and an organisation they work for or with.
• It is designed to draw on the work completed in the workbook and throughout the modules.
• The project should be completed within a week of finishing the program.
• The final project will be reviewed by the program leaders, and the digital badge will be issued after completion.
