Project Management specialisation

The Project Management specialisation is part of the Civil Engineering stream in the Bachelor of Engineering Honours program. To achieve this specialisation, students must complete 18 credit points.

    • CIVL2812 Project Appraisal | 6 credit points | Assumed knowledge: MATH1005 or MATH1062, Prohibition: CIVL3812, Corequisite: CIVL3806
    • CIVL3806 Scheduling | 6 credit points | Prerequisite: 30 credit points of any 2000 level units of study, Prohibition: PMGT3623
  • Students complete 6 credit points from the following:
    • CIVL4814 Project Procurement and Tendering | 6 credit points | Assumed knowledge: CIVL3805
    • CIVL4815 Project Formulation | 6 credit points | Assumed knowledge: CIVL3805

Units taken for the specialisation will also count toward requirements of the Civil stream. Students are expected to have grasped the concepts of basic financial and economic analysis and to have understood and applied basic tools for project management.
