Bachelor of Arts (Extended)

Overview

The Bachelor of Arts (Extended) is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to provide students with a depth of disciplinary knowledge in at least one field in the arts, humanities, and/or social sciences.


Learning Outcomes

The program aims to equip students with the following learning outcomes:


  1. Demonstrate a depth of disciplinary knowledge in at least one field in the arts, humanities and/or social sciences by applying discipline-based expertise to research, project, and work-based problems.
  2. Synthesise knowledge, experience and practice by constructing and testing new arguments and proposing evidence-based solutions.
  3. Communicate complex ideas and data effectively to diverse audiences through context-dependent forms of communication.
  4. Critically analyse and evaluate competing sources of knowledge and information using a variety of different modes of communication.
  5. Approach local and global challenges in research, professional practice, and civil life with personal integrity and intellectual rigor.
  6. Apply ethical frameworks to academic research and inquiry by working productively and collaboratively in diverse groups and across disciplines and cultures.
