Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology)
The Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) is a coursework degree that provides students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become a speech pathologist.
Honours Unit of Study Table
Honours is available to meritorious students who will complete an alternative set of units of study in the last three semesters of the program.
Requirements for the Pass Degree
- Students must complete 192 credit points of units of study in the order listed below, comprising:
- 168 credit points of core units listed in the sequence below
- 18 credit points of honours core units of study listed in the sequence below
- 6 credit points of selective units
Requirements for the Honours Program
- Maintain a credit average or higher throughout the honours program
- Not fail a unit of study throughout their degree (any exceptions require honours committee approval)
- Students must complete all Year 3 units of study before they can enrol in any Year 4 units of study

Due to the availability of clinical placements, students may be required to enrol in 30 credit points in Semester 1 and 18 credit points in Semester 2, or 18 credit points in Semester 1 and 30 credit points in Semester 2.
