Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD)

The Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) is a multi-institutional MD/PhD program supported by the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

Program Overview

The mission of the program is to develop individuals who truly make a difference in patient outcomes through bench to bedside research. Students in the program receive personalized, longitudinal mentoring through the Senior Physician Scientist (SPS) Mentor Program from the beginning of their first year. SPS mentors help students define long-term career goals and make decisions about everything from research rotations to residency programs.
