Program Overview
University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Department of Family & Community Medicine
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Department of Family & Community Medicine (UC DFCM), Division of Geriatrics offers a one-year Geriatrics Fellowship starting in 2026 at the University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital, with recruitment to begin in Fall 2025. This ACGME-accredited program will prepare geriatric medicine fellows to contribute to the health of individuals and communities through authentic relationships.
Mission
Our mission is to promote the health of our community by serving as educators, community leaders, health system innovators, and geriatric clinicians. We are dedicated to providing evidence-based training for our geriatric fellows, preparing them to practice in various clinical settings and care for older adults in the community.
Training Facilities
Fellows will train at several facilities throughout the city to gain a well-rounded experience. These facilities include:
- West Chester Family Medicine Practice, where fellows serve as primary care physicians for a panel of patients
- VA Cincinnati Medical Center
- West Chester Hospital
- University of Cincinnati Medical Center
- local nursing homes
- community programming with the Giving Voice Foundation
