Residency Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The Residency Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a four-year program that offers training in correction of skeletal deformities, trauma, reconstructive jaw surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, pathology of the oral and maxillofacial regions, facial cosmetic surgery, dento-alveolar surgery, and ambulatory anesthesia.

Optional MD Track

  • An optional educational track is available to obtain an MD degree.
  • To qualify, the candidate must pass Part I of the National Medical Licensing Exam to enter the third year of medical school at the University of Cincinnati after first completing the four-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
  • Candidates must then complete the third and fourth year of medical school, plus one year of internship.
