Introduction to the hm4mint.nrw Online Course

The hm4mint.nrw course is an online course involving multiple universities, developed by RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen as part of the Online Institutions NRW initiative. This course is designed for both school pupils and students, providing them with the advantage of acquiring credit points before starting their studies.

Course Details

• The course is offered by a total of 17 institutions in the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia.
• It is an online course in Advances Mathematics for courses of study in engineering.
• The course offers a script with tasks that are corrected online by tutors.
• Participants benefit from a virtual tutorial, the so-called Mathematics Call Center, that addresses any problems students have.
• At the end of the semester, one regular exam date will be offered at the different universities.

Guided Version of the Online Course

• Since 2020, RWTH has also been offering a guided version of the online course, HM4mint Intensive.
• It takes place annually from around the beginning of August to the end of September.
• It is an intensively supervised hybrid course with daily online lecturer sessions and face-to-face or online tutorials.
