Dentistry Program

The study of dentistry in Aachen was revised and adapted to the new regulations as part of the renewal of the Dental Licensing Regulations in 2019. New courses in the areas of interdisciplinary subjects and electives, as well as in dentistry itself, were developed, and new state examinations (Z1-3) with new exam formats were introduced.

Program Structure

• The task of implementing a new licensing regulation while students are still enrolled under the old regulations is not yet completed.
  • This will only be the case in 2028.
• However, as in the old curriculum, there remains a close integration with the Aachen model medical degree program (MSG) during the first semesters.

Requirements

• In the first semester, dental students must already have a health certificate.
  • Therefore, please make sure that yours is valid and up to date and get vaccinated against hepatitis B if you do not yet have a titer.
• The university doctor at RWTH offers advice on this.
