Program Description

The M.Sc. CAME program addresses the increasing demand for mechanical engineers with profound skills in advanced modeling and simulation techniques. It combines sound knowledge in manufacturing, design, automation, production, and simulations, training students to create digital twins of technical objects and systems that provide simulation solutions for complex design tasks in mechanical engineering.

Degree Content

The program is a full-time study program leading to a Master of Science degree. Students can choose between two study tracks:

1. Conception of Machines
2. Production of Machines Both tracks are built upon common core courses, a range of electives, and practice elements such as exercises and laboratory sessions, allowing students to specialize in their field of interest. An industrial internship or a research project work (mini thesis) are integral parts of each study track.

Prerequisites

A prerequisite for starting this course of studies is a first university degree that proves the necessary background education as determined in the examination regulations. Furthermore, a GRE certificate with minimum scores of 145 VR, 160 QR, 3 AW, as well as practical work experience of at least 6 months, are mandatory admission requirements.

Graduates of the M.Sc. CAME will be experts in digital engineering with in-depth knowledge of advanced software engineering. They will be well-equipped for interdisciplinary work in the fields of CAD, CAM, and CAE and qualify for leading positions in industries such as the automotive industry, the environmental sector, or biomedicine.
