Program Description
The M.Sc. MME-CAME is an interdisciplinary program conducted by the Institute of General Mechanics and RWTH School of Business and Economics. It combines sound mechanical engineering fundamentals with essential business management processes. Students learn to connect technological questions with a business perspective. This unique program equips students with the knowledge to develop and apply computer-aided modeling and simulation techniques in advanced manufacturing processes.
Degree Content
The M.Sc. MME-CAME is a full-time study program leading to a Master of Science degree from RWTH Aachen University. The program broadens and increases the knowledge and practical use of computer-aided simulation techniques in mechanical engineering. With the start of the 2nd semester, students can choose between two study tracks:
- Modelling and Simulation Engineering
- Digital Engineering
Prerequisites
A prerequisite for starting this course of studies is a first university degree that proves the necessary background education as determined in the examination regulations. Furthermore, a GRE certificate with minimum scores of 145 VR, 160 QR, 3 AW, as well as practical work experience of at least 6 months, are mandatory admission requirements.
Career Prospects
Graduates of the M.Sc. MME-CAME program gain the skill set and competencies to work at the intersection of digitalization, technology, and business administration. They are trained to understand both the art of management and complex engineering. Graduates become project engineers with a strong engineering, science, and technical background who can also demonstrate an understanding of key management processes and are prepared to move into advanced engineering positions as well as business leadership roles.
Examination Regulations
Regulations that apply for all Bachelor and Master courses of study, as well as detailed information about the necessary documentation of required language skills, can be found in RWTH’s General Examination Regulations. Subject-Specific Examination Regulations regulate academic goals, the course of study layout, and exam procedures.
Faculty
