Career Success in Germany Certificate Program
The Career Success in Germany Certificate Program is designed for international students at RWTH Aachen University, particularly those pursuing master’s degrees, who intend to work and stay in Germany after graduation. This comprehensive training program prepares participants for a successful career launch by equipping them with essential language skills, as well as technical and practical competencies relevant to their fields.
Program Overview
The program has a modular structure and comprises both required and elective modules. To earn the Career Success in Germany certificate, participants must complete all mandatory modules and at least two core electives. Participants are encouraged to finish the program in about three semesters, depending on their individual schedules and goals.
Program Structure and Content
- Mandatory Components:
- Module 1: German language courses – at or above level B2.2
- Module 2: Attendance at the “Nach dem Studium in Deutschland arbeiten” (Working in Germany after your studies) information session
- Module 3: Participation in the “Interkulturelle Kompetenzen für den Arbeitsmarkt” (Intercultural Skills for the Labor Market) seminar
- Module 4: Participation in counseling on the application process
- Module 5*: Participation in the “Karriere Woche für internationale Studierende” (Career Week for International Students)
- Module 6*: Visit of the “Bonding” career fair
