- Specializations: Raw Material Extraction, Recycling, Energy, Repository Safety
Course of Study
In addition to basic studies in engineering and technical subjects, the program offers a choice of four specializations: mining, recycling, energy, and repository safety. Students can decide on a specialization as early as the third semester. A large catalog of elective courses with different focuses is also available for all areas, allowing students to pursue their personal interests and develop their skills individually.
Practical Experience
Practical courses are offered, providing important insights and contacts in professional practice. These include a 20-day internship, which can be completed in Germany or anywhere else in the world, and exciting excursions to places such as Australia, Canada, or Brazil.
Master's Degree
After completing the bachelor's degree, students can enroll in the master's program in Sustainable Resources and Energy Supply. This program builds on and deepens the content of the bachelor's program, providing students with sound engineering expertise that is in high demand in the professional world.
Career Prospects
Engineers with comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in the field of sustainable energy and raw materials technology are in high demand due to the ongoing energy transition and resource scarcity. Interdisciplinary professionals with an eye for the big picture are particularly sought after, with opportunities in a wide variety of industries, including raw material extraction/processing, recycling, energy generation/distribution/consulting, as well as positions in administration and politics.
